Crop Hail Coverage
Crop Hail is as supplemental private insurance product designed to protect farmers from crop yields by hail damage. It can purchaseed as a stand-alone policy or attach it to an existing MPCI policy for added protection.
Unlike MPCI, Crop Hail insurance is not part of the Federal Crop Insurance Program and is therefore not subsidized by the government. Instead, it’s offered as a private insurance product, giving farmers more choices in how they protect their crops.
